Resumen
This Bachelor thesis was developed at the Bechtle Systemhaus Holding AG –Public Sector Division – as a part of the “International Business” study at the
Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mosbach, Campus Bad
Mergentheim.
This thesis aims to analyze the Spanish public sector regarding its tenders for
social responsibility and evaluate the role of Bechtle direct Spain in this context.
The following research question is posited: "Which strategic measures can
Bechtle direct Spain implement to improve its competitiveness in bidding
processes?”
To answer this question, theoretical foundations are researched initially, and a
qualitative analysis is conducted based on interviews with selected experts.
These experts are engaged both internally and externally with the subject matter.
Based on the findings, the following strategic measures are recommended: using
the ISO standard 26000 as a reference and aligning with the goals for sustainable
development and social responsibility set by the Spanish government.
Furthermore, strengthening supplier management through training for the sales
development team and active participation in conferences promoting sustainable
development is suggested. Additionally, transparency in the supply chain should
be improved by carefully examining the supply chains of Spanish suppliers. A
country-specific strategy should also be developed in collaboration with the
central sustainability department and the exchange of information on the
European and national legal framework with the central Bechtle AG Legal
Community.
Based on these measures, it is recommended that Bechtle direct Spain positions
itself as a trusted advisor on socially responsible issues to ensure long-term
competitiveness.
