Resumen
This study aims to identify key social dimensions enabling the sustainability of cocoa commodity production in Colombia, covering a multidimensional analysis of Colombian farming management characteristics to analyze the sustainability relationship on the European cocoa supply chain. Preliminary results indicate Colombian cocoa farmers face challenges, especially due to population renewal, adopting new practices and technology, and enhancing their process to be more competitive and improve their quality of life, especially considering the social and economic switch after the peace agreement. Future work could generate a better farming profiling approach for future funding projects to strengthen Integration with the EU.
