This research paper aims to analyze the impact of corruption and labour informality on Colombia's regional competitiveness in the period 2016 - 2019. For this purpose, some variables of the Departmental Competitiveness Index of the Private Competitiveness Council related to the phenomena of corruption and labor informality were chosen. Through the STATIS methodology, the performance of 25 departments and the city of Bogotá was reviewed around the variables selected. It is evident that there is a decrease in the value of the index for the four years of the study, due to the corruption scandals that the country experienced during those years and the limited effectiveness of the policies of inclusion to labor formality. It is concluded that the states of Antioquia, Casanare, Atlántico, Cundinamarca, Quindío, Risaralda and the capital city Bogotá, have performed well in aspects of labor market efficiency and government transparency.
