Abstract

This project designs a telework model in technology companies in the private sector of
Bogota, based on the use of digital tools that allow measuring productivity and job
satisfaction of workers. The project is based on a mixed qualitative-quantitative methodology
that allows to generate metrics for the design of the project.
In Colombia, telework is regulated since July 2008 by law 1221, however it had not been
considered by most companies as a viable work model, transversal to the different economic
sectors and industry, during the pandemic by COVID 19, between March 2020 and December
2021 telework had a higher adoption rate than usual; this due to the restrictions of mobility
and social distancing imposed by the government.
After the first months of the year 2022 and leaving progressively the measures imposed
during the Pandemic, it became important to have a defined and clear model of telework,
which allows both employers and workers, to identify and measure different variables such
as productivity and job satisfaction index, in order to consolidate and promote this way of
working, which promotes the adoption of the model and allows to make positive
contributions to different variables in cities like Bogota at the level of mobility, environment,
air quality and reduced operating costs for organizations.
