Research output: EventsScientific eventspeer-review

Abstract

This paper explores the initial steps of a quantitative analysis aimed at understanding the role and rationale of primary elections in contemporary democratic systems. By examining key variables such as voter turnout, party competition, and candidate selection mechanisms, this preliminary study seeks to outline the methodological framework and identify patterns that explain why and when political actors choose to implement primaries.
