N2 - Food security and global sustainability are important challenges for the current planet evolution, being the communities and ecosystems separated from the big cities, the most vulnerable. On the other hand, and in accordance with what is stated by the sustainable development objectives, there is a hypothesis about the supply of energy that can bring benefits and challenges for the communities, and for which the intervention of actors of the academy, the state, is required, the company, the civil society in search of a sustainable development. In the search for energization solutions for communities, it is necessary to carry out engineering designs that consider various socioeconomic variables, in which the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies can favor the structuring and organization of data related to these different variables. The research described in this article aims to conduct a review of descriptive literature on ICT solutions for the analysis of energy supply in smart cities, including the description of a test case in a community belonging to an agrópolis. For its development, a review of the descriptive literature was carried out, consulting databases such as Scielo, Ebsco and IEEE and ScienceDirect; The search strategy was based on the combination of the keywords ICT, Software and Energy. Finally, different software tools were identified for the analysis of the energy supply, identifying that the Homer Energy tool was the most appropriate integral to perform the modeling. All of the above integrated to describe a possible mode of application for a representative case in an agrópolis whose source of development is goat livestock.1
