Abstract

This document describes the objectives, research methodologies, ongoing activities, pending implementation schedule, theoretical references and partial results of the ongoing research project on an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) for the internal cargo transportation in the facilities of a company in the industrial sector of Santander (Colombia). The use of an optical guidance system based on image recognition is proposed to follow a line demarcated route, as well as the implementation of a MIMO control system and security systems for an autonomous vehicle in an industrial environment.
