Abstract
This review article investigates the reported effectiveness that cooperation offers to face the crisis due to the depletion of the Ozone layer. The reports that the literature makes on the effectiveness that collective action offers to face this type of situation are evaluated. The specific literature on cooperation to face the deterioration of the Ozone layer was examined through a systematic review using Scopus. It was found that the literature mostly supports cooperation to face the deterioration of the Ozone layer, although without offering explanations of the mechanisms applied to achieve said effectiveness. It is concluded that an evaluation of the cooperation mechanisms applicable to the Ozone crisis is pertinent to understand how these mechanisms can be even more effective.
