Description
Objective: The objective of this scoping review is to analyze the findings of studies presenting findings with network analysis in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in an explanatory-predictive model.
Introduction: Network analysis is a new model that integrates network theory into the study of psychopathology. The model proposes that mental disorders are complex causal systems of interacting symptoms. This model was studied extensively in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, improving the understanding of symptoms and the connections created between them. Therefore, this scoping review seeks to articulate the findings of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in an explanatory-predictive model.
Inclusion criteria: This scoping review will include studies published in the last 8 years (2016-2024) and will include studies conducted in adult population and estimating a network for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Methods: A systematic search of 6[HL1] databases (PUBMED, OVID, Science Direct and Web of Science) to identify relevant literature will be conducted in February 2024. Empirical articles published in journals indexed in international databases will be included. The date range of the search is 2016 to 2024. Two or more reviewers will independently and blindly perform the selection and eligibility of articles. The same procedure will be used for data extraction. Results will focus on the estimated network findings and methodological characteristics of the studies.
