Research interests

Biochemist and philosopher with a degree in Biology, university professor for more than 20 years in Faculties of Health Sciences and Basic Sciences, and researcher in different areas related to Health-Basic Sciences; In recent years my scientific interest has focused on understanding: the stability of spatio-temporal lipoprotein conglomerates that can be observed in biological membranes known as lipid rafts, which could more plausibly explain biological phenomena such as the fusion of membranes, amplified ligand-receptor responses, introduction of viruses into the cellular environment, among others, and thus, perhaps, have a better understanding of some pathophysiological events. Due to this interest, I completed a master's degree in philosophy with an emphasis on Philosophy of Science, whose central axis of research is the exploration of what the natural sciences and the human sciences, especially philosophy, have announced regarding membrane biology as border or limit between the inert (dead) and the non-inert (alive), that interface between these two worlds, separated and so close at the same time; According to the above, I also completed a Diploma in Philosophy of Science with a mention in Philosophy of Complex Systems. In addition, I have experience in management, administration and management of both research projects and laboratory with animal facility, and a family business; These circumstances have allowed me to acquire empirical and theoretical knowledge (diploma in management) in favor of the efficient management of human, logistical and economic resources to achieve the proposed goals.
