Oscar Rueda, M.Sc., is an accomplished assistant professor in the Mechatronic Engineering program within the Department of Engineering at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, Colombia. He contributes significantly to both
research and teaching initiatives. Holding a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from École Centrale de Nantes, France, Professor Rueda specializes in system and product design. His research primarily focuses on the development of mechatronic machinery specifically tailored for agro-industrial applications in remote Colombian communities. Driven by a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, he actively encourages undergraduate students to utilize creative problem-solving techniques in their capstone and final degree projects, utilizing a Challenge-Based Learning methodology.
