Research interests

Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga since 2016. In 2019 Mario established the Cognitive and Translational Laboratory within Faculty of Health Sciences. The focus of his laboratory is understanding the brain mechanisms underlying learning and memory in the healthy brain and how these are affected by neuropsychiatric disorders, neurodegenerative diseases and developmental disorders. This includes experimental-approaches as well as neuroimaging, electrophysiology and computational modeling techniques.
