Research interests

Professor in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in Literature at the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, she is also a researcher and translator with a solid trajectory in the fields of literature, linguistics, and intercultural studies. During her master’s studies, she was awarded the CONACYT Scholarship and the Excellence Scholarship for two consecutive years, and for her doctoral studies, she received the OAS Scholarship for a four-year period. She holds a Ph.D. in Letters from the Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brazil) and has developed her academic career in various Latin American universities, integrating literary education with critical approaches to intercultural bilingual education. Her research focuses on Latin American literature, the noir and neopolicial novel, urban studies, language policy, and interculturality, with particular emphasis on processes of identity, cultural resistance, and the revitalization of Indigenous languages. She is currently involved in research projects in Ecuador and Brazil that address intercultural pedagogies, literature, and orality.
