Personal profile

Professor of the Professional Program in Gastronomy and Haute Cuisine at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB) in Colombia. She graduated as Food Chemistry at Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia and in 2010 obtained her Master's degree in Food Sciences at Simón Bolívar University of Venezuela. She is a scholarship holder from the Carolina Foundation and is currently studying her PhD in Food Safety at the University of Jaén (Andalusia, Spain).

Professor García has focused her research interests on gastronomic sciences and their impact on people and the planet. She is especially interested in promoting the correct use of resources and sustainable gastronomy.

She is currently the Research Coordinator of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts of Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga
